Lange, the global leader in ski-boot technology since its inception in 1948, topped all of the industry’s most notable ski boot tests this season, with a slew of awards for its RS race boots, Shadow all-mountain boots, and new Concept series boots featuring the BOA® fit system in key models.
Lange dominated SKI Magazine’s 2025 Best Boot Test, earning “Best in Test – Men’s ” RS; “Best for Carvers – Women”: RS; “Best in Test – Women”: Shadow; “Best All-Mountain Boot – Men”: Shadow.
In the Masterfit/America’s Best Bootfitters annual test, Lange took home the top awards in every major performance category including: #1 Frontside Boot for both men and women: RS; with testers noting, the Lange RS is “the benchmark for which all frontside boots should be measured” and “this boot will make you a better skier.”
Of the Lange Shadow, Masterfit testers said it “skis like a cougar on the prowl … incredibly smooth and stable” and that it “has a level of power that stands alone … stability, quickness and snow sensitivity are off the charts,” ranking it #1 All-Mountain Boot for both men and women.
Meanwhile, the Lange Concept 12 GW BOA, Lange’s new recreational series ski boot, earned “Best of Test” accolades in Masterfit’s All-Mountain Wide category for both men and women. Testers noted “best-fitting BOA boot in the test. Comfortable and responsive … two thumbs up.”
The Lange Shadow also earned Blister Gear Review’s “Best Of” Award, where editors noted the boot’s design provides “a unique level power transfer without feeling harsh or overly stiff.”
Both Shadow and Concept boots feature Lange’s unique Suspension Blade, a design that provides an external connection between the upper cuff and lower shell, resulting in a clean, consistent flex and increased shock absorption.
Powder Magazine highlighted the pioneering nature of Lange’s Suspension Blade in a Shadow review last month, calling it “the first real ski-boot innovation since the Cabrio shell.”
