Ron Jon Surf Shop is opening a 10,000-square-foot store at Disney Springs, in the newer shopping area of the center across from Under Armour.
The store, which will be location No. 13 for Ron Jon, is also close to the Volcom and Stance stores at Disney Springs. The new Ron Jon store is expected to open later this fall. Ron Jon should have no trouble handling the high volume that comes when opening at a Disney property. The Ron Jon Cocoa Beach location is 52,000 square feet and is open 24 hours.
It will be the second store Ron Jon has opened this year. In May, the company opened a store in Pensacola Beach.
Ron Jon President Debbie Harvey said Disney Springs is an attractive location for Ron Jon because of its popularity with visitors as well as locals, many of whom are familiar with the Ron Jon brand.
As far as business overall, Debbie told SES that sales have been strong at Ron Jon this summer, with the beach locations performing particularly well.
