The women’s business dragged down results at industry customer The Buckle in February.
The company said Thursday morning that same store sales declined 2.7% for the month.
Total women’s sales fell 6.5%. Only tops and footwear were positive. Women’s accounted for 56% of total sales.
Men’s sales rose 7% during the month, with strong results in many categories including denim, casual bottoms, shorts, wovens, outerwear and accessories.
The Buckle operates 460 stores in the U.S.
