Industry customer The Buckle reported this morning that same store sales declined 1.4% in February, which was a better result than analysts expected, according to AP.
The company said men’s total sales increased 1%, with denim and casual bottoms performing well. Men’s accounted for 41% of total sales during the month.
Women’s total sales decreased 1%, with casual bottoms, knit tops, accessories, sweaters and footwear performing the best. Women’s accounted for 59% of total sales during the month.
Men’s and women’s accessories sales rose 2%, and footwear increased 2.5%.
