Costa Mesa, CA. – February 4, 2014 – Volcom is excited to welcome Ryan Sheckler back to the team. Ryan is one of the most iconic athletes in Action Sports, with a massive global following and deep history with the brand.
His success on the podium, paired with his charisma on and off the board has continued to leave a lasting impression on today’s youth culture. In addition he’s one of the few skateboarders to break out and bring this lifestyle to a broader audience. He had a successful reality TV show on MTV called ‘Life of Ryan’ and continues to bring mass media exposure to the industry.
Ryan’s legacy with the brand dates back to 1998 when he was signed at the age of 8 and after a brief departure his passion for the Stone led him back home. Driven by his love for skateboarding he also continues to affect people positively through the Sheckler Foundation. Which supports great causes that have a direct benefit and enrich the lives of children and injured action sports athletes.
