IRVINE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Tilly’s announced today that it has appointed Daniel Griesemer as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Griesemer succeeds Hezy Shaked, who has served as Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer since co-founding Tilly’s in 1982. Mr. Shaked will maintain an active role at Tilly’s as Chief Strategy Officer, a newly created position. He will also continue to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Prior to joining Tilly’s, Mr. Griesemer served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Coldwater Creek, Inc. from October 2007 through September 2009. He also held the positions of Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, as well as other executive posts at Coldwater Creek from 2001 to 2007. He began his career with Federated Department Stores and later held management and senior positions at firms such as Macy’s, Inc. and Gap, Inc.
