In addition, KOI announces the release of their new footwear collaboration with Vans out May 19 and a skincare collection with Youth To The People out now. KOI x VANS x GREENHOUSE NEW SHOE OUT MAY 19:

Following their explosive debut footwear collaboration with streetwear brand Vans and Greenhouse that sold out in just minutes, Kids of Immigrants returns with a new footwear release in collaboration with Vans and Greenhouse that is set to drop May 19 exclusively on the Greenhouse app. The shoe celebrates the five year anniversary of the brand and the beautiful community it has built. The shoe brings two classic old skool colorways into one style featuring the key message of “We Are All Cut From Different Fabrics But Together Make A Whole”. The shoe features an aged sole with sail laces and double tongue element that honors a Vans staple. A pair will retail for $120.

KOI x YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE COLLAB:

Out now, Kids of Immigrants partnered with skincare brand Youth To The People for their new “Love 2 The People” collection. The skincare and apparel collection includes three limited-edition pieces: a Superfood Cleanser, a Refillable Minsi Kit and a short-sleeved shirt. The project honors and brings light to self-care and self-love within communities of color and men of color to activate their inner glow for their mind, body and spirit.

KOI x VANS ‘FOOT THE BILL’ SHOES SUPPORTING TWO LA BUSINESSES:

In continuing to highlight the importance of community and love, Kids of Immigrants partnered with ‘Foot The Bill’, a Vans program committed to supporting small businesses owned and operated by diverse communities. As an ambassador, Kids of Immigrants selected the two local POC-run small businesses to receive support and funding by launching two new shoe designs to support Los Angeles businesses – Shop Mi Vida, a Chicanx lifestyle and apparel brand based in Highland Park, Los Angeles, and Mandarin Noodle House, a family-run Chinese restaurant in Monterey Park. The net proceeds from the limited-run shoes will go directly to each business, along with promotion and visibility on the Vans site.

KOI X WALK GOOD LA “LOVE GOOD LA” SUPPORTING THE LOS ANGELES MISSION:

Kids Of Immigrants partners with Walk Good LA to host a 5k Run on May 5 in Los Angeles supporting the Los Angeles Mission. In addition, Kids of Immigrants tapped over ten artists to design donation bins that will be present at the event, encouraging attendees to donate shoes and socks to Los Angeles Mission in support of unhoused neighbors.

In addition, Swiss footwear brand On Running has partnered with Kids Of Immigrants for the run and will provide shoes and gear for 50 of the runners. Kids of Immigrants also designed an exclusive Walk Good LA shirt – including a donation of two hundred pieces that will be available for runners on-site and the remaining sold on the Walk Good LA website.
