Rob Machado, Kelly Slater, Josh Kerr, and the World-Famous Surf Ranch are just a few of the legends that are stepping up to Pro-Vide experiences that will be awarded to the highest bidder.
The impact of COVID-19 pushed many SurfAid communities back into poverty and the mandated government closures created additional barriers to accessing healthcare, disrupting years of progress in our remote communities.
To combat this, SurfAid is strengthening and revitalizing the local health services and we need your help. 100% of auction proceeds will support SurfAid’s life changing Mother and Child Health programs.
Click, surf, and save a life when you bid on packages like a hand shaped board designed to your custom specs by Rob Machado, a golden ticket to the World-Famous Surf Ranch, or grab a friend, get yourself to Santa Cruz and spend the day surfing with your private coaches – Shawn Dollar and Tyler Fox. Your surf adventure will be turned into a custom edit that will be featured on SurfAid’s social channels and shared by your pro coaches.
Eager for some post pandemic travel? How about a trip to New Zealand’s Wainui Beach? Just down the road from SurfAid’s birthplace of Makorori Point, this spot is known to produce fun barrels and is also home to SurfAid Founding members, Dr. Dave Jenkins, Dr. Steve Hathaway, and Phil Dreifuss. They invite you for a day of surfing and storytelling with SurfAid Ambassador, Ricardo Christie.
Check out all the items in this stacked lineup and place your winning bid in the SurfAid Pro-Vide Auction from Monday, July 12 to 8:00 PM Friday, July 16 (PST).
Every click saves a life, and you get to shred at the same time.
About SurfAid:
For over 22 years, SurfAid’s core mission has been to save the lives of women and children in remote areas that are connected to us through surfing.
SurfAid works in Indonesia’s surfing heartlands – the Mentawai, Nias, Sumba and Sumbawa and last year, SurfAid launched two new partnership programs in Solomon Islands and Baja, Mexico.
In these extremely isolated areas where few visitors except surfers go, mothers and children are faced with some of the highest mortality rates in the world. Up to 70% of these deaths can be prevented by improving access to the core elements of SurfAid’s Mother and Child Health Programs, clean water & sanitation, basic healthcare, and nutrition.
SurfAid works with communities on long-term behavior change through a “hand up, not a hand out” approach. Local staff provide advice, training, and expertise, but it is up to the community to implement the initiatives and embrace change.
In addition to building award winning health programs, SurfAid has helped communities re-build their lives after five major natural disasters – earthquakes and tsunamis in the area.
