Tenōre will celebrate the grand opening of its first store on Kalākaua Avenue in Waikiki, Honolulu this Saturday.

The 12,000 square-foot, two-story flagship in the Waikiki Shopping Plaza aims to echo the success of the RVCA flagship on Haight and Ashbury in San Francisco, functioning as a store and cultural hub, bringing visitors and locals together for art exhibitions, wellness classes, sport-specific workshops, live music and more.

“We are excited to bring the Tenōre ethos to life here in Waikiki,” said Pat Tenore, who founded the brand after exiting RVCA, which he also founded, when it was acquired by Authentic Brands.

“As we expand Tenōre’s presence, it felt natural to dedicate a space to the people we design and curate for — a place that’s more than just a store to shop,” he said. “It’s where the community can come together regularly to connect and experience culture, wellness, and creativity first-hand. That’s what the Highest of the Ordinary is all about — elevating above what is considered standard.”

The first floor of the space serves as the main retail space, showcasing the latest Tenōre collection, capsules, collaborations, and rotating art exhibitions.

The second floor serves as a studio for wellness and athlete workshops, community events and live music. Programming will include:

  • Boxing classes will be led by Tenōre advocate Carlos Tangaro of Nito Boxing and one of Hawaii’s most respected trainers.
  • Jiu-Jitsu seminars and classes led by the Ruotolo brothers, two of the best grapplers in the world.
  • Performance and breathing sessions with Brian Mackenzie, an instructor recognized for his work in stress management and breath control.
  • Group and private surf sessions led by world-champion longboarder Kai Sallas.
  • Community-focused initiatives such as beach clean-ups, encouraging locals and visitors to engage with and support the environment in Hawaii.
  • Global, local, and emerging artist exhibitions on rotation twice a year, curated by Pat Tenore.
  • Community workshops, artist talks, and youth programs will provide further opportunities for the local community to engage with cultural experiences in the area.

Tenōre is also partnering with Homerun, a globally recognized streetwear brand and community organization known for hosting runs and give-back events. Twice per month, 5K runs will start from the new store and loop through Honolulu, inviting participation from locals and visitors.
