Reimagining waste as a valuable resource, the Resurge Collection is a forward-thinking denim initiative designed to keep materials in circulation for longer and give discarded garments a second life.
The Resurge collection reimagines classic workwear using recycled materials, bringing to life a new aesthetic for Finisterre inspired by French workwear styles. The new fabric is composed of 30% post-consumer cotton recycled from old denim, blended with 30% pre-consumer recycled cotton and 40% recycled polyester, brought to life in our bestselling workwear styles for garments designed stand the test of time.
The post-consumer cotton feedstock has been developed through a collaboration between Reskinned and French recyclers Dagobaire. By transforming old denim into new textile fibres through advanced recycling processes and strong supply-chain partnerships, the Resurge capsule shows how discarded garments can be reintroduced to make hard-wearing, desirable textiles.
The launch takes the form of a small capsule collection for men and women, featuring two core pieces each. Inspired by vintage French workwear, both styles are designed to be worn across genders and offer a refined modern take on classic denim.
Bringing recycled textiles into classic workwear styles, Resurge shows how these materials can easily become part of the everyday pieces people wear most. It also reflects a growing focus on transparency around materials and sourcing, from a new generation of consumers more conscious about their impact. By incorporating fibres made from discarded denim, the collection gives existing materials renewed purpose in contemporary workwear-inspired pieces. With the Resurge collection, discarded denim isn’t the end of the story. It’s simply the beginning of the next one.
“We’ve been working with Finisterre for some time now, so it’s great to see them using this recycled material in the Resurge collection. It shows how discarded garments can be transformed into new textile fibres and brought back into everyday clothing,” said Ross Barry, Co-Founder of Reskinned.
The ‘Resurge’ capsule includes:
