Following the success of their debut collaboration, Finisterre, the pioneering cold-water surf and outdoor lifestyle brand, reunites with acclaimed designer and environmental advocate Amy Powney to unveil the second chapter of their womenswear partnership.

Returning in a refreshed palette inspired by Cornwall’s rugged coastline, the latest capsule builds on the foundations of the original collection with rich seasonal tones and one carefully considered new addition. Alongside returning favourites, the Fisherman Rib Crew Cardigan joins the range, offering an effortless layering piece designed to complement the existing collection.

Created for women whose lives move fluidly between city and sea, the capsule combines technical performance with understated style. Designed to be worn every day, each piece balances versatility, functionality and comfort, making it equally at home on coastal adventures as it is navigating city life.

“When we created our first collection together, the intention was always to design clothing that women would genuinely live in – pieces that felt eAortless, functional and made to be worn again and again. Returning for this second chapter felt like a natural evolution of that partnership. Refreshing the collection through a new colour palette inspired by the Cornish coastline gave us the opportunity to revisit the pieces in a different light, while the new Fisherman Rib Crew Cardigan felt like the perfect addition to the wardrobe.

At the heart of everything I design is the belief that fashion should have a lighter footprint. Every decision, from the materials we choose to the longevity of each garment, is made with that in mind. ”, Amy Powney.

Reflecting Amy’s longstanding commitment to responsible design, the collection continues to champion carefully selected lower-impact materials, including Tencel™, NetPlus®, certified organic cotton, recycled fills and 100% Merino wool. Every garment has been thoughtfully developed to balance technical performance, comfort and durability, encouraging years of wear and creating a wardrobe built for longevity.

Inspired by Cornwall’s wild landscapes, the refreshed palette introduces rich reds, warm browns and soft muted neutrals that echo the changing coastline. Designed to layer eAortlessly throughout the seasons, the collection transitions seamlessly between urban life and the outdoors.

The 14-piece capsule spans outerwear, knitwear, jersey and woven apparel, with hero pieces including:

• Longline Waterproof Jacket ($385) – A refined utility staple engineered with storm-ready detailing for life between city streets and coastal paths.

• Quilted Liner Jacket ($255) – Inspired by classic military liners, oAering lightweight warmth as both a standalone jacket and layering piece.

• Fisherman Rib Crew Jumper ($190) and Aran Jumper ($255) – Contemporary interpretations of Finisterre’s heritage knitwear with relaxed, modern proportions.

• Pleat Front Pants ($165) – A versatile wardrobe foundation balancing technical durability with understated femininity.

• Fisherman Rib Cardigan ($210) – The latest addition to the collection, designed as an easy layering piece crafted from 100% Merino wool with Finisterre’s signature fisherman rib stitch.

Designed by women, for women, the collection was created by Amy Powney in close collaboration with Finisterre’s design team.

“One of the most rewarding parts of revisiting this collaboration was seeing how strongly the original collection resonated with women. This new chapter was about evolving the collection through a fresh coastal-inspired palette and introducing one considered new knitwear silhouette that sits naturally alongside the existing pieces.

Working with Amy is always a collaborative process rooted in shared values. Together we’ve created a collection that feels authentic to both brands while delivering beautiful, functional clothing women can wear with confidence wherever life takes them. ” , Rose Savidge, Senior Design Manager.

Amelia Hornblow, Chief Product OAicer at Finisterre, added: “Amy shares our belief that responsible product starts with thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship and creating clothing that earns its place in people’s wardrobes. This second chapter celebrates everything that made the original collaboration so well loved, while introducing a fresh new palette inspired by the Cornish landscape and continuing our shared commitment to creating products with purpose.”

Continuing the partnership’s commitment to environmental action, Finisterre and Amy Powney will donate £5,000 to We Are Avon, supporting the British charity’s work to regenerate, restore and protect the River Avon and its waterways. The initiative reflects a shared belief that healthy rivers are fundamental to healthy seas, reinforcing the message that protecting our oceans begins upstream.

Photographed by Lucy Laucht, the campaign captures the raw beauty of the British coastline, mirroring the quiet confidence, versatility and enduring character of both the collection and the partnership behind it.

The Amy Powney + Finisterre collection launches on 8th of September and will be available online at finisterre.com and in selected Finisterre UK stores.

Prices start from $145 for the oversized sweatshirt to $385 for the longline waterproof parka.
