DoorDash and Locally announced a partnership that brings independent specialty retailers onto the DoorDash Marketplace, giving consumers on-demand access to specialty goods from nearby stores.

Locally helps independent retailers make their in-stock products available to shoppers online. It connects more than 1,000 premium brands with more than 62,000 retail locations, including more than 20,000 independent specialty stores. Through the partnership, those retailers can now sell products on DoorDash and reach more local customers.

Shoppers will be able to find products across categories including running shoes, cycling gear, outdoor equipment, musical instruments, ski and snowboard gear, and fishing equipment for on-demand delivery.

The partnership expands DoorDash’s retail ecosystem into specialty categories, adding deeper assortments, new products and enthusiast-focused brands to the Marketplace. DoorDash also serves as a last-mile provider within Locally’s Same-Day Delivery program, letting brands offer same-day delivery on orders placed through their own websites, with the sale fulfilled by the nearby authorized retailer.

“Locally gives us access to an incredible network of specialty retailers and the differentiated assortments they carry,” Mike Goldblatt, Vice President of Enterprise Partnerships at DoorDash, said in a statement.

“Together, we’re making it easier for consumers to discover and purchase products from the specialty retailers they know and trust, while helping independent merchants reach more local customers,” Goldblatt said.

Mike Massey, Founder and CEO of Locally, said in a statement that specialty retail has product, expertise and local availability that has always been hard to digitize.

“Many of the retailers on Locally are longstanding local businesses, including single-location and multi-generational stores rooted in the categories and communities they serve,” Massey said.

“We’ve spent more than a decade connecting brands to their authorized retail networks, store by store and product by product,” Massey said. “This partnership turns that infrastructure into new supply for DoorDash and a new demand channel for the retailers already on Locally.”

The partnership combines real-time inventory, a unified product catalog, order management and same-day fulfillment, allowing specialty retailers already connected to Locally to activate on DoorDash without building a new marketplace integration or delivery operation. Retailers on Locally can go live on DoorDash within days.
