Bajío Sunglasses, the independently owned, water-driven performance eyewear brand, today announced the latest edition of its Temples of Change giveback collection, created in partnership with Casting for Recovery (CfR), the national nonprofit that provides no-cost fly-fishing retreats for women with breast cancer, and FisheWear, the women-owned fishing apparel and design brand. The collection is available now via this link, timed to Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and marks Bajío’s latest collaboration for Temples of Change, the brand’s ongoing giveback series that pairs a limited-edition frame release with a conservation or community partner.
The collection features two limited-edition Bajío frames, each finished with an original Fishe pattern printed directly onto the temple. For every pair sold, $20 will be donated to Casting for Recovery, supporting retreats that connect women in breast cancer treatment and recovery to each other and to nature through the therapeutic sport of fly fishing.
Darien | Crystal Graphite Gloss with Fishe’s Enchanted Grayling pattern | Named after the treacherous river that feeds into Piñas Bay, Darien is Bajío’s best-selling medium frame, built for spotting bait balls from the bridge of a classic sportfisher. Wide temples for focus, full wrap for coverage, and a rubber nonslip grip make it a go-to for anglers chasing sailfish, marlin, and dorado.
Rigolets | Aqua Gloss with Fishe’s Tropical Tarpon pattern | Named for the deepwater strait just outside New Orleans, “Rigolets” means trench in French; this technical small frame is designed with a narrow fit for narrow faces. Vented, sun-blocking side shields and ergo rubber details round out a full-wrap build made for the redfish, speckled trout, tarpon, and jack crevalle that run through the Rigolets’ namesake waters.
Both frames are built with Bajío’s patent-pending, polarized LAPIS™ lens technology, which blocks 100% of UV light along with harsh yellow and blue light for crisp, glare-free fish-spotting vision.
“Partnering with Casting for Recovery is an opportunity to connect our community to something far bigger than ourselves,” said Shauna Bordsen, Marketing Director at Bajío. “In talking with breast cancer survivors and hearing firsthand what these retreats have meant to them, you realize just how powerful time on the water, surrounded by women who understand what you’re going through, can be. As Casting for Recovery celebrates 30 years of making those experiences possible, we’re incredibly proud to support their mission through Temples of Change and help introduce even more women to the healing power of fishing.”
“Bajío’s commitment goes beyond sponsorship; it’s a meaningful investment in the women we serve and the experiences that help them move forward,” said Susan Gaetz, Executive Director of Casting for Recovery. “This partnership will help us reach more women and deepen our impact in 2026 and beyond.”
The Darien and Rigolets Temples of Change frames are available now, exclusively at bajiosunglasses.com.
