OluKai, the premium Hawaiian-inspired footwear brand, is expanding its retail presence in Florida with the opening of its newest store on Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale. This is OluKai’s 15th brick-and-mortar storefront and its fourth in the Sunshine State, further expanding its footprint along Florida’s robust shopping scene. The new location will feature OluKai’s full range of premium footwear across both men’s and women’s lines, bringing the signature Anywhere Aloha spirit to South Florida.
Officially opening to the public on October 24th, the store is built around the theme “Prepare: Know Your Path,” drawing inspiration from the shared ocean-based lifestyles of Hawaii and Fort Lauderdale. Nautical charts, compass points, boating details, deep-sea tones, and subtle wayfinding motifs bring the concept to life throughout the space, while a chrome strip creates a visual path through the store representing the intercoastal waterway. At the center, a sculptural seagoing-inspired installation serves as both a lighting feature and a nod to navigation. Hawaiian compass motifs, handcrafted paddles, and boat cleats further connect the design to Hawaiian wayfinding traditions and Fort Lauderdale’s maritime culture, while Hawaii-based artists Wooden Wave created a custom installation weaving together water, wayfinding, and the iconic Hawaiian paddle.
To celebrate, OluKai will be hosting in-store activations during the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show on October 30th and October 31st, offering an exclusive premium tote with purchase, Hawaiian-inspired cocktails, and a DJ from 1-5pm. OluKai shares its spirit of Aloha through the Ama OluKai Foundation, a 501(c)(3) created to support organizations that preserve Hawaiian culture: every pair gives back. A portion of all proceeds directly supports the Ama OluKai Foundation, honoring those who preserve and celebrate the cultural heritage and Aloha spirit of Hawaii.
