Position Summary
The Vice President of Wholesale Sales will oversee all aspects of wholesale operations, drive strategic growth in domestic and international markets, and manage key accounts. This role requires a seasoned sales leader with a proven track record in the apparel industry, exceptional relationship-building skills, and the ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Wholesale Operations Leadership: Oversee all wholesale activities, ensuring seamless execution of sales strategies, order fulfillment, and customer satisfaction.
Major Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key domestic and international accounts, acting as the primary point of contact for major clients.
Strategic Growth: Develop and implement strategies to expand wholesale sales, including private label opportunities and new market penetration.
International Distribution Management: Lead efforts to grow and manage international distribution channels, ensuring compliance with global trade regulations and optimizing market performance.
Team Management: Supervise and mentor the in-house sales manager, wholesale team, and external sales representative force, fostering a high-performance culture and aligning efforts with company goals.
Opportunity Pursuit: Identify and pursue new wholesale opportunities, including partnerships, collaborations, and innovative sales channels.
Performance Tracking: Monitor sales metrics, analyze market trends, and provide regular reports to senior leadership to inform strategic decisions.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in wholesale sales within the apparel industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Proven success in managing major accounts and driving revenue growth in domestic and international markets.
Strong understanding of private label sales and international distribution processes.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop talent.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
