How industry executives are planning at a time of low visibility

I keep hearing from business leaders, whether they work at a publicly traded companies or a small retail store, about how difficult it is to plan for the future given the lack of visibility in the economy.

I decided to ask several people in the industry about  how they are approaching the planning process to see if they are coming up with new ways to set budgets, plan inventories and allocate resources.
