Designers discuss fashion, pricing and creativity during a recession

With consumers spending less and on the hunt for bargains, it made me wonder how those pressures are impacting design and fashion in the industry.

I asked more than a dozen  designers and brand owners if they believe there are meaningful changes in fashion and consumer behavior going on, and if their approach to designing is changing as a result. There is some debate about whether price is important, and if fashion is really in demand.
