Former Quiksilver Inc. President Bernard Mariette has taken a new job as CEO of Coalision, a Montreal-based apparel company focused on active lifestyles.

I had coffee with Bernard a few weeks ago in Newport Coast before he and his family moved to Montreal. We talked about why he signed on with Coalision, what he has been doing in the year since he left Quiksilver and his feelings about his 15 years at Quiksilver and the Rossignol acquisition.
