Quiksilver and Bora Bora in legal battle

<p><em>Updated Nov. 12 with comments from Oscar Juelle.</em></p> <p>Quiksilver Inc. and Puerto Rican retailer Bora Bora have dueling lawsuits against each other in the wake of Bora Bora’s bankruptcy filing in May.</p> <p>Prior to the bankruptcy filing, Bora Bora president Oscar Juelle had personally guaranteed a promissory note in 2007 to Quiksilver for $2 million. The note said Bora Bora was to pay Quiksilver $28,888 monthly until the money was paid back, according to court documents.</p> <p>If Bora Bora filed for bankruptcy, the money would be due in full.</p>
