With the recession wiping out many boutiques and contemporary clothing prices coming down to reflect the reality of the marketplace, Jade believes a certain kind of board sport retailer can capture contemporary customers who grew up shopping in surf shops who now have limited shopping options. Retailers can also add proven brands to their stores that are less widely distributed than some action sports brands.
