Columbia Sportswear Reports Mixed Q3 Results Amid Tariff Pressures

International growth is offsetting U.S. weakness as Columbia faces up to $160 million in tariff costs. The Sorel brand bounced back, while Mountain Hardwear reported declines.

Columbia Sportswear delivered better-than-expected third quarter results, but the outdoor apparel company is facing mounting pressure from tariff increases that could cost the company up to $160 million annually. The Portland-based parent company of Columbia, Mountain Hardwear, and Prana reported net sales growth of 1% to $943.4 million for the quarter, though earnings per share dropped to $0.95 from $1.56 in the prior year period.
