Work ended early for many Sole Technology employees Monday afternoon.

Roian Atwood, Pierre, Sara SheenThe Lake Forest skateboard shoe company trooped to a nearby Foothill Ranch movie theater to watch a special screening of “The 11th Hour,” Leonardo DiCaprio’s film about environmental troubles. Sole Technology Founder and CEO Pierre André Senizergues is an executive producer of the movie.

 

 

 

 

 

SoleTech popcornBefore the film started, Pierre told his assembled employees, “I really hope you’ll feel (the movie) is coming from the heart.” He said if there’s one company that can lead the way with sound environmental practices, it’s Sole Technology. “I believe in our guys, and you all have the heart to make it happen.”

The company headquarters has solar panels, water-free urinals and Sole Tech shoes are made with water-based cement.

Afterward, a panel discussion and Q & A with directors Leila Conners Petersen and Nadia Conners was planned. (I had my 4 year old with me so I missed that part.)
