The Nordstrom holiday catalog landed in mailboxes this week. Only a few surf brands are featured.
It seemed like a small representation given how many local brands are in Nordstrom stores and how aggressively Nordstrom is pursuing the space.
Small by Paul Frank’s Julius sweatshirt with removable animal hand puppets got a nice photo. The line is for toddlers sizes 2 to 4.
A whole Quiksilver outfit for boys sizes 4 to 7 is featured, including a jacket, thermal and jeans.
And Aqua VI scored a coup for such a young brand. It has a photo of a T-shirt and thermal for boys sizes 8 to 20.
One surprise: How much play The North Face got, especially in the women’s section. The new metallic silver vest with detachable faux fur hood and similar bronze jacket got a two-page spread.
