The Buckle picks up O’Quinn Clothing

O'Quinn continues to pick up big accounts for a young brand, including a 50-store order from The Buckle, O'Quinn said. Bloomingdale's also added O'Quinn to a few stores on the East Coast and more on the West Coast after testing O'Quinn at the Fashion Island location. Upscale boutique Lisa Kline placed an order as well.

In total, O'Quinn is now in 165 doors, said Dale Rhodes, vice president of sales. Revenue for the first quarter of 2008 grew 250 percent over total revenue for 2007, he said.

I asked the O’Quinn crew if they were getting any grief from core retailers for opening in department stores so soon. Dale said they haven’t gotten any pushback and core retailers are happy O’Quinn does does not sell direct online and does not plan to open its own stores.
