Same-store sales at Nordstrom declined 6.1 percent in July which was consistent with its outlook, the company said.
Nordstrom’s anniversary sale on fall goods led to a “small improvement over recent trends,” the company said in its recorded sales message.
Full-priced Nordstrom stores are suffering the most, with same-store sales down 9.1 percent in July. At Nordstrom Rack, same-store sales rose 6.4 percent.
Strongest categories: Designer goods, cosmetics and accessories.
Strongest regions: Northwest, Southern states, Midwest
