The Buckle's profit soars 43.5 percent in Q1

The Buckle continues to outperform every retailer in America. The company, a large customer for action sports brands, said this morning that its net income rose 43.5 percent to $26.9 million in the quarter ended May 2.

Net sales rose 24.6 percent to $199.7 million, while same-stores sales rose 17.7 percent.

The Buckle's run of great results shows no signs of slowing down. I was in a Buckle store this week and it was one of the few stores at the shopping center that was busy.

The Buckle ended the quarter with 392 stores.
