June sales were tough for many retailers, with The Buckle and Aeropostale two of the exceptions.

Same-store sales: down 19.3 percent
Week 1: down 17.4 percent
Week 2: down 22.6 percent
Week 3: down 14.2 percent
Week 4: down 22.7 percent
Week 5: down 19.3 percent
Categories: All departments reported a decline in same-store sales
Regions: Same-store sales in the western half of the U.S. and the South fell in the 20 percent range. Same-store sales in the Midwest declined in the mid-teen range.

Same-store sales: up 9.6 percent
Total No. of stores: 393
Note: It was the smallest increase in same-store sales this year for The Buckle. But the company was up against a tough comparison. In June of 2008, the company’s same-store sales increased 28.9 percent.
