Police have made an arrest in the murder of Hurley intern Dane Williams, according to media reports. Williams disappeared in January 2008 during ASR. His body was found in an alley miles away from the Gaslamp Quarter in downtown San Diego where he was last seen.

Dane Williams, 23, was found dead in a City Heights alley three days after he was last seen leaving a nightclub at the Hard Rock Hotel in the Gaslamp Quarter.
A suspect in his death will be arraigned in San Diego Superior Court Tuesday afternoon, charged with murder and two counts of sexual assault.
Philong Huynh, 39, right, was arrested Thursday night after DNA evidence from the crime scene was matched to him, according to San Diego Police.
Huynh lived in the 5300 block of Wightman Street “approximately 800 feet from the spot where Dane Williams’ body was found,” according to SDPD Homicide Lt. Kevin Rooney.

Huynh was arrested Thursday in the 4300 block of Orange Avenue. Police also searched two residences that investigators linked to Huynh.
Rooney says the DNA match that lead to Huynh’s arrest was related to an unsolved sex crime in San Diego from June 6th of this year.
Huynh sued the county last year, resisting efforts to make him register as a sex offender in San Diego County after he moved here from Arizona, where he was a registered sex offender.
Williams worked in the marketing department of the skate and surf clothing company Hurley International in Costa Mesa. He was in San Diego in January of 2008 for an action sports trade show.
Williams disappeared January 26th from the Gaslamp and was found three days later, but no cause for his death was ever determined. Investigators say there was no obvious sign of foul play. But San Diego police declared the death “suspicious.”
A $20,000 reward was offered for information leading to a felony arrest in the case.
