Former DC president joins Fox board

Nick Adcock, the former global president of DC Shoes who drove that brand’s rapid growth over the past several years, is joining the board of Fox Head Inc.

Fox’s roots are in motocross but it now reaches across several action sports and has become one of the largest privately held action sports companies with revenues above $200 million.

Nick, who now lives in Ibiza, Spain, will travel to California one week a month to help Fox develop strategic plans for the future, in addition to helping Fox grow and refine its footwear line and other projects.

I talked to Nick and Fox CEO Pete Fox about the new arrangement and why they think it’s a good fit. I also talked to Nick about what he learned about the changing business landscape from his world travels.
