Robert Cameron, most recently vice president of Levi’s brand marketing, is the new senior vice president of marketing for PacSun, the company announced this morning.
It is a new position for the retailer, and one that CEO Gary Schoenfeld has said is a very important part of the company’s turnaround plan.
Cameron will be responsible for creating a differentiated customer experience and for bringing PacSun’s 900 stores and website to life for consumers, according to the press release.
He will also work closely with large industry brands carried by PacSun to “further infuse the California lifestlye into the PacSun retail experience.”
Before working at Levi’s, Cameron was a founding partner and Chief Creative Officer of Fantascope, Inc., a strategic branding agency that worked on several projects, including the “Lord of the Rings” movie.
Schoenfeld addressed his plans to work more closely with brands on marketing initiatives and in other areas at the Shop-eat-surf Executive Roundtable session in January.
