The 2010 Lollapalooza line-up is official: Soundgarden, Green Day, Lady Gaga, Arcade Fire, The Strokes, and Phoenix will headline, joined by Social Distortion, MGMT, Jimmy Cliff, Hot Chip, and The Black Keys. With 130 bands on this year’s bill, its sure to be a weekend long feast for the ears.

It’s a monumental year for Lollapalooza, filled with homecomings, reunions, and first-times. Soundgarden, 1992 and 1996 Lollapalooza alumni, return to the Lollapalooza stage for their first performance since 1997. Green Day will rock Grant Park sixteen years after their first Lollapalooza appearance. While Lady Gaga will headline the festival only three short years after playing the BMI stage at Lollapalooza 2007.

Arcade Fire returns to Grant Park, having played the reincarnated Lollapalooza in 2005. This is the first Lollapalooza for The Strokes – and also their first show in four years. And making their Lollapalooza debut: Phoenix.

But wait there’s more! The 2010 bill also features The National, Spoon, Devo, Cypress Hill (’92, ’94, and ’95 Lolla), Cut Copy, The New Pornographers, Erykah Badu, Slightly Stoopid, Grizzly Bear, Gogol Bordello, Chromeo, Wolfmother, Yeasayer, and X Japan.

Other not-to-miss bands on this year’s line-up include Metric, The Temper Trap, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Mumford & Sons, The xx, Dirty Projectors, and a rare performance by Chicago legend Mavis Staples.

Perry’s, the non-stop electronic and dance music stage, is even bigger this year, and will feature a debut North American performance by Empire of the Sun, as well as 2ManyDJs, Digitalism, Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell, and many more.

The line-up isn’t the only hot item at Lollapalooza this year. The festival has enlisted Graham Elliot Bowles – Chicago’s tattooed, rock & rolling, world class and award-winning chef) to bring some of the Windy City’s favorite eateries to Grant Park for a new and tastier Chow Town in 2010.

Regular Price tickets are available for $215, inclusive of service charge. Early Bird tickets went on-sale in August and sold-out quickly. Advance Price tickets were available on March 30. Travel packages and VIP Lolla Lounge passes are also available at lollapalooza.com.

Lollapalooza happens August 6-8, 2010 in the jewel of Chicago, Grant Park.

Complete line-up, tickets and show information are available at www.lollapalooza.com and on the next page.
