Carlsbad, CA (June 22, 2010) –Crossroads returns to downtown San Diego with over 100 skate brands already signed on to participate in the event. On August 13th-14th, the PetCo stadium parking lot adjacent to ASR will transform into the definitive collection of skate hard goods, footwear and apparel. The location provides a convenient platform for retailers to see the latest progression of skate.

“We’re psyched on the industry’s response to Crossroads. It’s a skate show with skateboarding being the focus, the way it should be,” says Jamie Thomas, professional skateboarder and Founder of Crossroads. “The dates of this show are also finally conducive to the skate industry’s calendar, which will hopefully help us all serve the industry.”

Skate specialty buyers traveling to San Diego for Crossroads will combine with ASR, CLASS@ASR and Sacred Craft’s global mix of specialty skate/surf lifestyle, boutique and department store buyers. The fusion of categories makes ASR Marketplace a unique platform for labels to reach their ideal buyers and media.

“We allocate a lot of time to exploring what’s new and different and what to bring in more of. It’s our job to capitalize on what’s next. Crossroads is an important ‘hands on’ piece of deciding our buys for the season,” says Nick Owen, Owner of Escapist in Kansas City, MO.

While Crossroads focuses on skate hard goods, footwear and apparel geared toward the skate market will also have a big presence. Footwear brands including Adidas, Circa, DVS, Converse, DC, Dekline, Fallen, Vox and more will preview spring 2011 footwear at Crossroads. Skate apparel will be represented by a strong brand mix including Insight, Analog, Brixton, Element, Elwood, Innes, JSLV, Mighty Healthy and Quiksilver.

Crossroads’ Best Trick Contest returns on Saturday, August 14th from 4:00-6:00. Pros and ams from all the participating brands will battle it out at Crossroads for the $10,000 prize purse.
