ActionSportsNow LLC (ASN) announces the launch of its website, www.ActionSportsNow.com, a consumer portal that connects action sports enthusiasts and newcomers with a nationwide database of action sports retailers, shops, camps, parks, resorts and lesson providers. The ASN website provides searchable access to a comprehensive list of local surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, snow skiing, windsurfing, kiteboarding and wakeboarding businesses, and is free to the public.
The site features interactive maps that display the businesses who serve the consumer’s interests, along with the ability to refine their search by looking for specific types of products (longboards vs shortboards) or services (rentals, lessons, repairs) from the list of matching providers.
“The reason why we’re doing this is to put the focus back on the backbone of this industry: the local retailer,” says Carl Wallin, President and Co-Founder of ASN. “They are the ones that put me on my first board. They know their local spots, they can explain safety and etiquette, and they are walking out the culture and values of action sports. Even if you can buy equipment from anywhere in the world these days, nothing compares to reviewing the features of equipment with your local provider.”

Action sports businesses may register and be displayed on the ASN website for free (www.ActionSportsNow.com/Search.aspx). In addition, they can opt into one of two promotional packages to enable more information about their products and services to be displayed on the website (www.ActionSportsNow.com/SelectMembership.aspx). The website also offers comprehensive advertising packages for manufacturers looking to showcase their products to action sports consumers (www.ActionSportsNow.com/Advertising.aspx).
The mission of the ASN website is to connect people with local action sports resources so that they can enjoy this exhilarating and healthy lifestyle wherever they live or travel.
