Seven surfing and action sports industry icons were added to the Surfing Walk of Fame Thursday during the 17th annual induction ceremony in front of Jack’s Surfboards in downtown Huntington Beach.
PT Townend led the ceremony, telling his tales on all, weaving the connections that tie so many in the industry to one another.
Joining the Walk of Fame Thursday were:
- Dick Baker, Honor Roll
- Candy Calhoun, Woman of the Year
- Dave Rochlen, Surf Culture
- Dewey Weber, Surf Pioneer
- Rick “Rockin’ Fig” Fignetti, Local Hero
- Ian Cairns & Sunny Garcia, Surf Champions
Family members Una Baker, Pua Rochlen and Shea Webber accepted the posthumous awards for Dick Baker, Dave Rochlen and Dewey Webber.
