All the trade show news this week made me curious about which brands were attending what shows.

I surveyed several brands, and this is what I found out. I will add to the list as I get more responses – I have a lot of messages still out.

RVCA: Will attend both West Coast Agendas, and both Surf Expos. Had planned on attending Class@ASR.

La Jolla Group

Agenda January  – O’Neil Clothing, Rusty, Metal Mulisa, Lost, True Love False Idols

Agenda NYC – TLFI

SurfExpo – O’Neill, Lost, Rusty

MAGIC/SLATE/Project – O’Neill, Metal Mulisha, TLFI

Miami Swim – Lost, Rusty, Metal Mulisha

Sole Technology: SIA, both Agendas, Surf Expo in January

Hurley: Surf Expo in January, Agenda in August, and both Coterie shows.

Analog Clothing: Agenda all shows, SIA, Surf Expo January, Slate – February

Gravis Footwear:  Agenda all shows, Surf Expo January, Slate – February

Volcom: Volcom opted out of both ASR and Surf Expo shows this year, and is investing the money back into retailers. The company is attending SIA, Agenda in August, Miami Swim, and will likely attend some regional shows as well.

Billabong: Surf Expo in January, SIA in January. Had not planned to attend ASR in January because the dates did not work for the company. Billabong is still in the planning process for other shows next year, but would likely have attended August ASR.

Quiksilver: Quiksilver decides on a case-by-case basis, and does not commit to shows a year ahead of time. It was on the fence about ASR in January, but had been leaning towards going. Thus far, Quiksilver has definite plans to attend SIA, and Surf Expo in January.

Vans: Both Agendas in Southern California, Agenda NYC, both Surf Expos, had planned on both ASRs, SIA, Interbike. Vans will rent suites at both Magic shows.

Reef: Surf Expo in January and September, Outdoor Retailer, and Agenda in August. Had planned to do ASR in August.

DC Shoes: Both Agenda shows, Surf Expo in January, SIA, Crossroads, Project (at Magic).

Podium Distribution: Both Agendas on the West Coast, Agenda NYC, both Surf Expos, the Bright Show, Crossroads, Magic.

Fox: Both Agendas and both Surf Expos.  Increasing its presence at regional shows as well. Fox had not planned to go to ASR in January, and had yet to decide on the August show.

Sanuk: Had planned on both ASRs, in addition to both Surf Expos and both Outdoor Retailer shows.

Oakley: Both Surf Expos, SIA, both Agendas and most of the regional snow shows. Had not planned to do ASR.

Ipath: For the first half of the year, Ipath is attending Agenda, Surf Expo and Slate. It is waiting to hear about Crossroads, and is also attending regional shows. It did not plan to attend the January ASR.
