Zumiez keeps strong results rolling

 

2011 is off to a great start for Zumiez. The company said same store sales for the month ended Jan. 29 rose 15.3%.

 

All regions in the country posted positive comps and nearly every category saw increased sales except boys.

The average number of transactions increased while the dollars per transaction declined.

 

Regions

South: +16%

Midwest: +13%

Northeast: +9

West: +7

 

Positive categories: footwear, accessories, men’s, junior’s, hardgoods.

 

Negative category: boys.

 

Q4 same store sales: +13%

 

2010 same store sales: +11.9%
