Press Release:
O’Neill Welcomes Sasha Hartloff to Sales Team to Manage Key Swim and Activewear Categories
15-year sportswear veteran to oversee expanding product collections and strategic retail development including introduction of exclusive Elyse Taylor Swim Collection and Superkini rollout
Irvine, CA, April 6, 2011 – O’Neill Clothing (www.oneill.com), the original surf, snow and youth lifestyle brand, is pleased to announce Sasha Hartloff as the new Girls Sales Manager for the swim and activewear categories.
Effective immediately, Hartloff will oversee the O’Neill Girls regional sales teams around the U.S. and spearhead distribution efforts across both divisions. She will report to O’Neill’s Senior VP of Sales and Marketing, Steve Ward.
Hartloff comes to O’Neill with extensive experience in the action sportswear industry.
Most recently, she served as Key Account Manager for Hurley apparel, accessory and swim divisions.
Prior to Hurley, Hartloff spent 15 years at Quiksilver, where she helped launch the Roxy Athletix junior’s active line and supported the Raisins Swimwear brand as Director of Sales.
Her new position with O’Neill will leverage her operations expertise, and allow her to assist with sales strategies for other La Jolla Group brands.
One of the first items on Hartloff’s agenda is the introduction of the exclusive Spring 2012 swimwear collection from O’Neill’s Global Brand Ambassador, Elyse Taylor.
Additionally, she will focus on the national retail expansion of O’Neill’s Superkini, a revolutionary new bikini with 200% more grip than a standard bikini. The technically advanced collection uses a super comfortable material called NANOFRONT™ that will ensure the utmost confidence while surfing, jumping into a pool, or just having a good time at the beach.
“Joining the talented team at O’Neill is such a great opportunity and I’m thrilled to be part of this special brand,” said Hartloff.
“The O’Neill name is synonymous with innovation and authentic beach lifestyle, which has translated to success over many decades. I can’t wait to get started and help support the brand’s unique and expanding swim and active lines.”
“We are confident that Sasha will excel in this important leadership role for O’Neill during an exciting time for the brand,” added Steve Ward. “Her previous experience in product launches and account management will be invaluable for sales efforts as we forge ahead with our growing Girls business.”

About O’Neill
O’Neill, the original California surf, snow and youth lifestyle brand, was founded in 1952 when a young man named Jack O’Neill took his unstoppable passion for surfing and used it to beat Mother Nature at her own game. Pioneering the world’s first neoprene wetsuit, Jack had successfully found a way to extend his surf sessions in the bone-chilling breaks of Northern California. He opened up the garage doors to his first surf shop in Santa Cruz soon after.

While many things have changed since those humble beginnings, Jack’s initial vision of producing functional and innovative boardriding products continues to lie at the core of everything the company does. O’Neill’s core values – innovation in style and technology – have seen the brand devote itself wholeheartedly to the evolution of the action sports lifestyle.
From the first ever neoprene wetsuit and surf leash, to the world’s first stitchless boardshorts and range of groundbreaking wearable electronics, O’Neill’s progressive spirit will always drive the company forward.
