Details about Zumiez April sales

Zumiez reported strong Easter sales for April, with same store sales rising 17.5%. In April 2010, same store sales increased 2.1%.

For March and April combined this year, same store sales increased 12.5%.

Every category recorded positive comps including footwear, accessories, men’s, junior’s, hardgoods and boys.

Comps by week:

2. +11.1

3. +38.5

4. +6.6

The average number of transactions increased while the dollars per transaction decreased.

For the entire first quarter, same store sales increased 12.6%. In Q1 of 2011, same store sales increased 9.1%.

Zumiez operates 406 stores in the U.S. and has opened its first two stores in Canada.
