Concrete Wave celebrates 10th anniversary

Over 125 people showed up at Hensleys Pub in Carlsbad to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Concrete Wave. The special surprise guest was Frank Nasworthy, the founder of Cadillac Wheels –the man who relaunched skateboarding's second boom in 1973.

 

Frank came up with the concept in 1971 and moved to Encinitas that same year.

Hence, the 40th anniversary.

 

Concrete Wave's mascot, Spike the Iguana showed up to join in on the fun.
