Press Release:
Gold Coast, QLD: JPI Distributors of Jetpilot and Metal Mulisha Clothing hosted its 2nd Night of Nights party on Friday April 29, 2011. This year with the brand celebrating its 25th year of business we had to step it up a level and that we did.
Once again we had owners, buyers and marketing crew from all the majors such as City Beach, Jetty Surf and Roadhouse, as well as selected specialty accounts from around the country and abroad from New Caledonia and New Zealand in attendance.
“The reason for us holding this party is to help build our relationships with our Retailers, Buyers, and Magazine contacts, this enables them to meet our staff, riders and Jetpilot family face to face but not only that it is also to show our appreciation to them for pushing the action sports movement instore. It’s not every day you get to be 5 feet away from some of the best action sports stars on the planet when they are performing.” Marketing Manager Chris Apps said.
The night kicked off with our Retailers and Buyers being greeted and shown through our offices and conference room to see where all the hard work takes place. They all loved being able to see current S11 designs they have already bought into and also preview what is to come from our 2nd Summer 11 range.
The quality and positive growth direction of the brand was already installed in their minds before they walked down the red carpet to have photos with the very fine Monster Energy Girls.
The entertainment certainly kept everyone pumped up throughout the night and with Plenty of Jack Daniels flowing everyone was in a great mood. We kicked off with BMX, we had Andy Buckworth, Luke Bowerman and Paul Langland’s as well as some of the crew from GC Compound Logan Martin and Matt Whyatt.
The boys dropped from the toilet block roof and were boosting 20 ft into the air almost touching the roof of our warehouse, the boys had the crowd super impressed with how technical and high they were throwing down.
Matt Mingay’s rubber burning performance was next and it filled everyone’s nostrils full of sweet rubber and got the crowd pumped up for the Monster Energy/Showtime/Kawasaki Team of Matt McFerran, Brad Burch and Kain Saul with special guests Bilko and Joel Balchin who despite the light rain were still able to pull all their usual tricks on the 75ft gap, which impressed the whole crowd as they were only several feet from where the guys were landing.
The Body Painted girls were also a big hit with the crowd, as was the Gerronimo jerky that was being handed out. The Sure Cut Kids and Cutloose whipped the crowd into a frenzy in their last set of the night, and a dance off transpired where there was more than a few battles go down on the concrete floor to the awesome tracks the boys were laying down.
As the Dance off came to an end, we moved the party onto Love Nightlife in Broadbeach, about 150 people made the journey into Broadbeach to keep the party rolling into the early hours of the morning. The night was truly exceptional and has the whole industry buzzing once again.
