June 27, Fountain Valley, CA— ONE Distribution today released a really cool action sports press release that announced that Michelle Smith would be the new Senior Vice President of Sales.

 

“We are proud to have Michelle Smith as part of the ONE Distribution Leadership Team,” said CEO Scott Bailey in his typically cool press release fashion. “Michelle’s experience as a senior sales executive is reflective of ONE’s strategic growth strategy. The press release went on to list Michelle’s experience in skateboarding and action sports. It said, for instance, that Michelle recently held the same SVP of Sales position at DC Shoes for two years (she spent a total of eight years at DC). Her experience in the action sports industry, and in particular skateboarding, is impressive and runs deep.

 

She worked for Burton as the Director of Sales and Marketing for Analog and Gravis, and she held the same position at Dwindle Distribution overseeing the brands Enjoi, Blind, Deca, A-Team, Tensor, and Speed Demons. She was even at Dwindle during the first Axion attempt with Kareem Campbell.

 

She got her start in the industry with Split as a sales manager.

 

The entire press release is pretty cool from start to finish, but the part of the press release that everyone is going bonkers for is a section that features a really cool quote from Michelle.

The amazing press release more or less ended there, but its effects have been echoing across the action sports industry all day. Insiders who knew about this over the weekend were saying things like, “This is the most exciting press release I’ve seen in a long time.”

 

And others were all, “Michelle Smith totally made this press release. She rules.” And this one guy was all, “I can’t wait to see what Michelle does at KR3W and SUPRA because that announcement was flabbergasting.” And then he banged a shovel on the ground three times and said, “Woo.”
