FASHION ISLAND ANNOUNCES FOUR NEW STORES
Newport Beach, California, June 15, 2011 – Fashion Island, which has opened six exclusive new stores in recent months, has announced four more additions to the coastal shopping destination, including Southern California’s first Athleta.
Athleta will open its first Southern California store at Fashion Island this fall. This will be the third store in California for the active lifestyle apparel retailer, which is known for its successful e-commerce and catalog business. The store will offer women’s apparel for yoga, running, swim, gym hiking and skiing – designed by and for female athletes – as well as an array of other products for everyday pursuits. Athleta will be located between Nordstrom Court and Pacific Court at Fashion Island.
Earnest Sewn will open its first Orange County store this fall. The 2,200 square foot store will showcase all the Earnest Sewn Collections, including men’s and women’s denim, twills and shorts, along with t-shirts, dresses, sweaters and outerwear. The store will also carry lifestyle items such as accessories, footwear, home accents and pet accessories. The Fashion Island store will also help launch its new collaboration with Lacoste.
Waterman, the first store of its kind to carry its namesake collection by Quiksilver, will open at Fashion Island in late July. Waterman will carry apparel, footwear and accessories designed for the Southern California waterman, regardless if his sport is surfing, paddling or fishing. In addition to the Waterman and Quiksilver collections, the store will also carry select boards and other goods that cater to the active lifestyle.
Francesca’s Collections will open its second Orange County store at Fashion Island this fall. Offering unique gifts, apparel, home décor, accessories and jewelry from all over the world, Francesca’s will be located between the Iris Fountain and Macy’s, near Traditional Jewelers.
