The Young Phenom from Down Under is Crazy Talented and Snatching Up Titles Worldwide
July 19, 2011, Irvine, CA – Sanuk, a division of Deckers Outdoor Corporation (NASDAQGS: DECK), is un”bro”lievably excited to announce that it is welcoming Jack Freestone to the brand’s surfing team. The 19-year-old was the 2010 ASP World Junior Champion and recently took second at the 2011 Oakley Pro Junior at Trestles.
Freestone calls Queensland’s legendary Gold Coast home and has been living in the area since he was a young kid. At age 10, he acquired a second-hand surfboard and has never been far from the water since.
“We are super stoked to get Jack on Team Sanuk,” said James Crush, marketing manager, Sanuk. “Besides being an amazing contest surfer, Jack is always pushing the limits of progressive surfing, and he is a really cool kid to work with.”
