The trade show circuit continues this week in Vegas with MAGIC. I checked out the S.L.A.T.E., RIDE, Project, and Pool shows yesterday at Mandalay Bay.
Â
S.L.A.T.E. and RIDE featured action sports and streetwear brands including O’Neill, Hurley, Quiksilver, DC, Metal Mulisha, Neff, Fox, Skullcandy and many more.
Â
During the show there was skate street course in the back, reminiscent of past days at ASR.
Â
The Project show had a wide mix of fashion and lifestyle brands from Adidas and Polo to brands like Ever and Native. There were also a few skate brands there like Supra and Converse.
Â
Adjacent to Project was the Pool show, which was full of energy and featured a lot of younger brands with some exciting prints. I saw a lot of orders being written at Pool, and heard a lot of positive response from people who walked the floor there.
Â
The entire show was massive, and would be almost impossible to walk in a day.
Â
Monday, the show started slow, and got busier throughout the day. Most brands said they had a lot of appointments scheduled for Today.
