MARK TESI SHARES HIS VISION WITH REEF AS NEW CREATIVE DIRECTOR
(Carlsbad, CA) August 31st, 2011– Reef is proud to bring on board award winning Art Director, Mark Tesi, to the Reef creative team. In his new role, Mark will oversee the creative direction for the brand guiding the look and feel of all consumer facing marketing collateral around the globe.
Tesi spent the last 3 years at Quiksilver/Roxy as the Senior Global Art Director. His most recent work included the ‘Cynthia Rowley for Roxy’ campaign that earned the brand a SIMA Image nomination for Marketing Campaign of the Year.
When asked about his new role at Reef Tesi stated, “Although I have some big shoes to fill, I’m really excited to start collaborating with all of the amazing people here at Reef. I know that we’re going to do some great things together.”
Prior to his work at Quiksilver/Roxy, Tesi acted as the Senior Art Director for Virgin Mobile U.S.A where his work was recognized from several prestigious design publications like Comm Arts, HOW and PRINT just to name a few. Mark’s personal design work has expanded beyond surf including collaborations with brands like ZOO York, Patagonia, Microsoft and Abercrombie and Fitch.
Director of Marketing, PJ Connell, commented, “Mark’s expertise in creative design, his understanding of go to market strategies and love for surf culture make him a perfect fit for the Reef organization. We look forward to seeing Mark’s interpretation of the Reef experience and how he brings that to life in future marketing campaigns.”
