Press Release:
GoPro Set For Winner of Big Shorts From Little Groms
Film Contest At California Surf Festival October 13th-16th
Oceanside, California (October, 12, 2011) – This year the winner of the Big Shorts from Little Grom Contest at the California Surf Festival will win a GoPro camera. GoPro is the world’s leading activity image capturing camera and, since coming on the scene, has opened up the possibilities for budding filmmakers to create a new era of action sports filmmaking.
Kids 18 years and under who enter the Big Shorts from Little Groms contest are able to make a film on any subject within the action sports genre. Film must be 5 minutes or under in length. The finalists are screened in a special program of the Festival Sunday and are judged by a group of action sports filmmakers.
This year, for the very first time, the big winner will take home a GoPro camera to assist them in making even more inspiring films for the future. In the past, some of the winners have gone on to land promising and inspiring jobs for some of the biggest names in the action sports industry. Pretty cool for an aspiring grom filmmaker! www.gopro.com
