Some industry brands and retailers are embracing Cyber Monday today by offering special online offers.

Cyber Monday, the Monday after Thanksgiving, is a term that started five years ago and has grown into an online shopping event, according to the National Retail Federation.

According to a survey by the trade group, 88.2% of retailers will offer a special promotion for Cyber Monday, up from just 72.2 percent in 2007.
