Press Release:
Men’s sportswear collection led by fashion veteran Ryan Rush brings practical style and sophistication to today’s tastemaker
IRVINE, Calif. (February 13, 2012) — VALOR COLLECTIVE is celebrating the official launch of its menswear collection for Fall 2012. The collection will be presented to retailers and media during the SLATE trade show in Las Vegas, NV, starting today.
Encompassing a focused, yet complete assortment of styles, the VALOR COLLECTIVE debut collection includes knits, wovens, walkshorts, boardshorts, fleece and outerwear. Created with today’s cost-conscious economic climate in mind, the men’s line reflects a city attitude with laid-back Southern California style, bringing a fresh perspective to the youth and action sports market.
VALOR’s Fall 2012 collection incorporates subtle colors and design elements, featuring engineered fabrications, color blocking, fabric mixing, unique closures and jacquard fabrications, complimented in shades of grey, black, blue and red.
Key items include a faux leather hooded jacket, colorblocked anorack, varsity jacket, hooded woven tops, and engineered stripes in every silhouette. Retail prices range from $24.95-89.95.
VALOR COLLECTIVE will be launched in a selective distribution of influential youth specialty and department stores, in addition to the brand’s Web site, www.valorcollective.com, later in the year. Distribution will be limited for the first year.
“It’s extremely exciting to introduce this first VALOR collection after months and months of planning and perfecting all the elements involved in launching an apparel brand,” said designer and founder, Ryan Rush.
“I love the excitement and challenges that come with building unique apparel brands; and also saw a need to give consumers cutting edge product, while offering retailers significantly higher margins to help drive their profitability during tough economic times.”
“The VALOR guy isn’t defined by age, but our vibe and designs do speak to a more mature and fashionable style sense,” Rush added.
“VALOR brings a new angle to the current men’s fashion space and I’m extremely confident the fashion, fabrications and prices offered will be a winning combination for both consumers and retailers.”
Prior to establishing VALOR COLLECTIVE, Rush fronted four years of men’s design for surf and youth lifestyle label, O’Neill. He was also men’s and women’s Creative Director for Ezekiel for five years, and founded Drawls & Dawls Clothing brands directly out of high school during the 90’s, operating both for more than ten years.
