Surfing America Announces Sponsorship Partnership with GoPro
San Juan Capistrano, CA – March 19, 2012 – Surfing America is pleased to announce the addition of GoPro as the official camera of Surfing America and the PacSun USA Surf Team.
In addition to monetary support, GoPro will provide members of the PacSun USA Surf Team their state-of-the-art GoPro HD HERO2 cameras and accessories, as well as training to help them capture amazing high definition video and photos. The GoPro HD HERO2 features true 1080p video and 11 MP still images that can fire off 10 photos in one second!
The content these talented surfers create will be edited and shared on Surfing America’s website (www.surfingamerica.org) and Facebook page (www.Facebook.com/surfingamerica) as well as the PacSun USA Surf Team members’ blogs and Facebook pages.
The best content will receive exposure on the GoPro Facebook page reaching nearly 2,000,000 action sports enthusiasts that “Like” GoPro. “This exposure will highlight Surfing America’s mission of raising the bar on competitive surfing in the USA and get it out to a huge audience”, says Greg Cruse, Surfing America executive director.
