Ryderz Compound, the company that bought many of No Fear’s assets during No Fear’s bankruptcy process, is beginning to rebrand No Fear stores and open new stores.
Â
The second XRyderz store opened Friday at MainPlace Mall in Santa Ana. Fox held a BMX demo inside the mall to celebrate the opening.
Â
We asked President Eric Baker for an update on this new business that is targeting the moto, BMX and wakeboarding world.
Â
What part of the No Fear business did Ryderz Compound take over?

Ryderz Compound acquired the operating assets of the No Fear retail stores including 32 leases, inventory, fixtures, operating systems and five company vehicles.Â
Â
Is this the first store? Are more planned?
This is the second XRyderz store, the first one opened in October in the Roseville Galleria in Roseville, California.Â
Â
Our Tyler Mall location in Riverside will be taking over the Billabong/Beachworks site in May becoming the third California XRyderz.Â
Â
Sunset Galleria, the Henderson Galleria Nevada and Modesto, California will also convert from No Fear stores into XRyderz stores in May.
Â
Additional new sites (where there was not a No Fear store before) will include Redding, California in July with up to four more new locations by year end.
Â
The remaining 32 No Fear sites will be converted within this calendar year.Â
Â
Why is MainPlace in Santa Ana a fit?
The No Fear store at the Block at Orange was one of the first stores opened in 2002 and was a destination in the Orange County market. With The Block being converted to an outlet store concept (The Outlets at Orange), MainPlace was a better fit with other full price premium retailers.
Â
What brands and styles will be carried?
Fox, Volcom, DC, Metal Mulisha, Alpinestars, FMF, Unit, Famous, SRH, Etnies…
Â
Is Ryderz Compound going to have its own brand as well?
NO. Ryderz is a moto inspired retail concept focused on motorcycling, BMX, offroad, wakeboarding etc.
